In this stunning clip, Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-PA) absolutely obliterates Michigan Governor Rick Snyder for his role in the mass poisoning of Flint, Michigan, and for his persistent attempts to pass the blame on to the EPA.
“Gov. Snyder, plausible deniability only works when it’s plausible, and I’m not buying that you didn’t know any of this till October 2015. You were not in a medically induced coma for a year. I’ve had about enough of your false contrition and your phony apologies … Pretty soon we will have men who strike their wives saying, ‘I’m sorry dear, but there were failures on all levels.'”
Watching Snyder squirm is a deeply satisfying moment that we’ve all been waiting for. This man has the audacity to lie about his role in the lead poisoning of thousands of children and then has the nerve to hire expensive lawyers on the public’s dime to defend himself. It’s about time someone called him out for his lies and his crimes – now we need to see him behind bars for what he did.
