Racist “Minuteman” Militia Founder Convicted Of Child Molestation, Giving Porn To Children
Chris Simcox, the leader of a border vigilante militia group known as the “Minutemen,” was just convicted of two counts of child molestation and one count of giving pornography to a minor. He was found not guilty on three other counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
Simcox was arrested in 2013 after being accused of molesting two young girls, ages five and six. The former elementary school teacher gained notoriety for co-founding the “Minuteman Civil Defense Corps” with avowed neo-Nazi J.T. Ready.
In 2010, the group sent out this email to their members, which describes quite aptly what kind of a border “patrol” group this was: “For eight long years we Minutemen played nice; yet for the past eight years we firmly expressed our opinions and desires for the border to be secured. This muster will be completely different. President Barack Obama and John McCain have left us no choice. This March we return to the border locked, loaded and ready to stop each and every individual we encounter along the frontier that is now more dangerous than the frontier of Afghanistan.”
The number of Minutemen groups dropped from a height of over 300 to just 38, constantly dogged by their members’ insistence on committing petty crime and abusing migrants. It appears their quest to patrol the Mexican-Afghani border has collapsed, as the groups dissolved a few years ago after Ready killed himself and his family in a gruesome murder-suicide and Simcox was arrested for molestation.
It is clear that when Americans decide to go protect their own border, they aren’t our best. They’re criminals. They’re rapists. And some, we assume, might be good people.
