Here Are The Republican Hypocrites Offering ‘Prayers’ While Taking Bribes From The NRA
In the wake of the deadliest mass shooting in American history, Republican politicians once again have nothing to offer but hollow offerings of prayers while they spend every day demonizing LGBT Americans and fighting to unravel every gun regulation in America on behalf of their financiers at the National Rifle Association.
If you recall, fifty-three Republican Senators voted against banning gun sales to members of the FBI’s terrorism watch list back in December, after the San Bernadino shootings. That bit of hypocrisy has come back to claim more lives as a US citizen who was on the FBI’s terrorist watch list gunned down 50 people and wounded fifty more at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. The state of Florida has some of the most lax gun laws in the country; no license or permit are needed to purchase a military-grade assault rifle. The shooter was found to have not one but two legal concealed carry weapons permits.
Igorvolsky of ThinkProgress and the Deputy Director of the Center for American Progress Action Fund has compiled a list of all the outrageous hypocrites who are publicly mourning these attacks while collecting big checks from the NRA, fighting against commonsense gun reform and staining their hands with the blood of gun violence victims.
