The KKK Tried To Throw A Trump Victory Parade. What Happened Next Will Restore Your Faith In America
The Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan had planned a victory parade to celebrate Donald Trump’s election for this weekend – but things didn’t go quite as planned. The white supremacist terror group was forced to relocate the site of their parade from Pelham, North Carolina, to Roxboro because of the hundreds of counter-protesters that showed up to express their displeasure.

Update: just heard from KKK. Guy says they have a "snafu" & only described it as "situation normal all f***ed up." Parade may be delayed.

Update: parade has been moved to this afternoon, according to the Loyal White Knights. Still haven't said what the snafu is.

It’s unclear if the “parade” happened at all or whether it was simply a bunch of cowards driving around in pick-up trucks, waving Confederate flags, and shouting “WHITE POWER” at passerbys. It should also be noted that Burlington Times-News reporter Natalie Janicello observed the North Carolina Highway Patrol blocking traffic so that the Klansmen could “parade.”
Just so everyone knows, @NCSHP troopers blocked traffic for the KKK so they could have their parade without any problems.

By all accounts, the parade was very small, about the size of a funeral procession – “America’s funeral” as one Twitter user morbidly quipped. In response, hundreds turned out for “love marches” in Charlotte, Salisbury, and Raleigh to show the Klan that their brand of hate was not welcome. It just goes to show that while it may not feel like it sometimes, the vast majority of the American people are tolerant and loving folks who will band together to stand up to hate and to discrimination in all of its forms.
