Electors Just Demanded An Intel Briefing On Russian Interference Before Vote

The official confirmation that the Russian Federation actively interfered in the recent elections on behalf of Donald Trump has sent a shockwave through the nation and its political class – and the people are demanding answers in light of the news that the integrity of our election has been compromised.

Ten members of the Electoral College from five states have sent a letter to the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper demanding that they be given an official briefing on what exactly transpired with the high-profile server breaches of Democratic National Committee machines and the flood of obviously partisan “Wikileaks” releases, which played a significant role in swaying public opinion against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“The Electors require to know from the intelligence community whether there are ongoing investigations into ties between Donald Trump, his campaign or associates, and Russian government interference in the election, the scope of those investigations, how far those investigations may have reached, and who was involved in those investigations. We further require a briefing on all investigative findings, as these matters directly impact the core factors in our deliberations of whether Mr. Trump is fit to serve as President of the United States.

Trump’s willingness to disregard conclusions made by the intelligence community and his continuing defense of Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin demand close scrutiny and deliberation from the Electoral College.”

The electoral college is set to cast their votes on December 19th to choose who will be president of the United States, and they deserve to know the full story before they obey the choice of a very small plurality of Americans, many of whom likely regret their choice at this point as their swamp-draining populist hands out cabinet posts to Goldman Sachs executives and his billionaire campaign donors.

Thirty-seven electors are needed to defect in order to send the decision to the House of Representatives.

Trump was unqualified to serve as president before the CIA’s report became public; his behavior in the past three weeks has been extremely poor as he gives full rein to his nascent authoritarianism and puts our national security at risk with his disregard for protocol or his intelligence briefings. It’s up to the electoral college to fulfill their function and save us from a mad-emperor who was ushered in by the machinations of America’s enemies.
