Because He Skipped An Intel Briefing, Trump Made A HUGE Diplomatic Error
President-elect Donald Trump’s recent debacle in dealing with a minor political skirmish with the Chinese could have all been prevented had Trump bothered to attend his daily intelligence briefings. Trump, however, has better things to do than remain informed on the threats facing the United States and completely dropped the ball in the process.
On Dec. 17 at 7:30 a.m., Trump tweeted his now infamous “unpresidented” tweet that has been covered thousands of times where he expressed his outrage of China taking an unmanned underwater vehicle. Trump tweeted, “China steals United States Navy research drone in international waters – rips it out of water and takes it to China in unpresidented act.”
Trump’s post was so embarrassing and of such size and scope that even the good people at Merriam-Webster’s dictionary got in on the fun of mocking him:

At 8:56, he deleted that tweet and replaced it with one which had the correct spelling. The only problem for Trump, beyond being a racist sexist megalomaniac narcissist who is unfit to be president, is the fact that the situation had already been resolved hours before Trump learned of the matter. Now is it possible Trump knew the standoff was over and he merely wished to stir the pot with China? Sure, in a universe of unending possibilities anything is indeed possible. Perhaps he intentionally misspelled unprecedented as well merely to allow himself to be humiliated for the humor of all involved. That’s just the type of selfless man Trump is, right?
U.S. Ambassador to China Max Baucus was the first to know the standoff was over at around 3:30 a.m. EST. Trump would have known this had he bothered to attend his security briefings, but Trump has said he is not going to attend every briefing because:
I don’t have to be told – you know, I’m, like, a smart person. I don’t have to be told the same thing and the same words every single day for the next eight years. It could be eight years – but eight years. I don’t need that.
Trump’s arrogance, laziness, and stupidity is dangerous for all Americans. Even before Trump has taken power he has been caught asleep at the wheel.
