Where Trump And Obama Spent Their Christmas Says It ALL

The difference between our outgoing and incoming leaders could not be starker. President Obama took the time to show his appreciation for those who don’t get to spend time with their families while keeping us safe; First Lady Michelle Obama spent the afternoon volunteering at the NORAD Tracks Santa, taking calls from excited children.

President Obama, as he does every year, visited the Marine Corps Base mess hall in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, to show his appreciation for our fighting men and women who stand ever vigilant while the nation celebrates holidays. Speaking to the men and women at their posts on Christmas Day, the President gave a short but powerful speech, sharing his gratitude for their sacrifices.

“I just want all of you to know that it has been the privilege of my life to serve as your commander in chief. I know Michelle feels the same way when it comes to being able to stand alongside our military families and our veterans. As tough as it is to be deployed, the people here in America, back home, understand that every single day you serve, you’re fighting for our freedom. Our commitment to standing by you every step of the way — that won’t stop.”

He promised to that even as a private citizen he would still fight to support our military men and women “every step of the way.” Obama then ended his day personally calling our soldiers who are deployed overseas to offer holiday wishes and prayers.

Trump tweeted out a picture of himself raising a tiny fist then returned to his mansion in Florida.

The contrast in character is obvious. President Obama is a generous and loving man who truly loves the American people, who fights for us every step of the way. He is all too aware how many sacrifice so much so that our nation can peacefully enjoy holidays with our loved ones in comfort and security, and the weight of those sacrifices hangs heavy upon his soul. Donald Trump, on the other hand, is a selfish ingrate for whom other people only exist as tools to be exploited or abused for his own personal benefit. He is a rancid mockery of a man entirely devoid of moral compass or even the capacity to empathize for others. President Obama’s grace, wisdom, and loving presence will be sorely missed by all.
