The Attorney General Trump Bribed Just Got A White House Job

In a stunning show of corruption that truly boggles the mind, news broke today the Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi will be given a position in the White House by the Donald Trump administration, according to Bloomberg Politics:

Bondi was at the center of a firestorm scandal this summer when it was discovered that she had accepted a $25,000 bribe from Donald Trump in exchange for dropping the state’s investigation into Trump University, which was discovered to be a colossal fraud that stole millions of dollars from hard-working Americans hoping to find a new career in real estate. The IRS recognized the “donation” for what it really was and charged a 10% fine; but the obvious pay-for-play transaction is illustrative of just how easily Donald Trump dabbles in corruption and casually breaks a multitude of laws to make his life easier.

The outcry only increased when it was discovered the bribe was paid out using Trump Foundation money that was ostensibly intended for charity. Further investigation by the Washington Post’s David Farenthold discovered that the Trump Foundation was less of a charity organization and more of a giant money laundering operation for Trump to commit tax evasion and buy himself expensive things using other people’s money.

While the move is hardly surprising at this point, the shameless corruption is just breathtaking. The hubris of Donald Trump knows no bounds; he’s so confident he doesn’t even feel the need to hide his flagrant corruption and cronyism. Our transition to a banana republic run by a select elite of wealthy oligarchs is well underway.
