A 12 Year-Old Just Held A 13-Year-Old At Gunpoint Over Chicken Nuggets

What does a young man do these days when he wants a Chicken McNugget? He certainly doesn’t pull out a gun on the Lexington Avenue Subway, for that gun might get slapped away by a young women, and he would end his week in handcuffs.

Perplexingly this is exactly what happened in New York City Tuesday, according to the New York Daily News. Citing police reports, The News writes that a 13-year-old girl from Harlem had a gun put to her head on the 103rd Street Lexington Avenue subway platform. Her bounty? A Chicken McNugget.

This young lady wasn’t giving any. Rather than cough up a precious golden McNugget, she deftly slapped her robber’s gun away, finished eating her white meat lunch, and boarded the number 6 train. The gunman, a 12-year-old, was arrested by police after the girl reported the incident to school faculty.

It wasn’t the first time the boy was denied chicken. He actually followed her from the McDonald’s where she bought the McNuggets and onto the subway platform.

It is extremely disturbing that a child so young was able to get his hands on a firearm, let alone threaten his classmates with it. But good luck hoping for any kind of comprehensive gun reform with a Congress controlled by Republicans.
