Trump Just Got Sued For Sexual Harassment
President-elect Donald Trump is not going to be able to escape his past crimes just because he’s the President. Women’s rights champion Gloria Allred has announced she will be filing a lawsuit on behalf of a woman who claims Trump had sexually harassed her, according to the International Business Times.
Trump will be the first president to be inaugurated while being sued for sexual misconduct. The media mogul has a long of history of sexual assault accusations stretching back thirty years, most of which are corroborated by his own admission that he “doesn’t even wait, he just grabs them by the pussy.”
In particular, the story of his rape of his first wife Ivana Trump, as told in a court deposition she was later forced to recant, is absolutely horrifying. Ivana had advised her husband to go see a hair surgeon, who botched a scalp reduction surgery. The man who millions of American thought would be an acceptable president was so infuriated by the affront to his personal vanity he brutally abused and violated his wife:
Donald held back Ivana’s arms and began to pull out fistfuls of hair from her scalp, as if to mirror the pain he felt from his own operation. He tore off her clothes and unzipped his pants.
“Then he jams his penis inside her for the first time in more than sixteen months. Ivana is terrified… It is a violent assault, According to versions she repeats to some of her closest confidantes, ‘he raped me. Following the incident, Ivana ran upstairs, hid behind a locked door, and remained there “crying for the rest of night.” When she returned to the master bedroom in the morning, he was there.
As she looks in horror at the ripped-out hair scattered all over the bed, he glares at her and asks with menacing casualness: ‘Does it hurt?’”
Trump, for his part, has refuted all accusers, insulted and demeaned them by insinuating they weren’t attractive enough to molest – a tacit admission that he does in fact sexually assault women on the regular. His legions of deplorables pelted his accusers with rape threats and death threats, enough to drive one woman to flee the country. The conservative media machine cried “FAKE NEWS!”
Everything that we’ve learned about Donald Trump over the past year and a half – his narcissism, his sociopathic disregard for the well-being of anyone else, his outrageous sense of self-entitlement, his casual objectification of women and misogynistic remarks – tells us that these accusations are real. But the wheels of justice in the United States are designed to give rich white men a pass – and his electoral college victory proves that rape culture is alive and well in the United States, perpetrated by rapist monsters like Trump and their lackeys.
