A Super Bowl Winner Was Asked Whether He’ll Visit Trump. His Response Is Priceless.

Trump may be overjoyed that his millionaire friends Robert Kraft (owner), Bill Belichick (coach) and Tom Brady (quarterback) of the New England Patriots won Super Bowl LI last night – but not everyone is thrilled at a chance to meet the President.

Pro Bowl tight end Martellus Bennett has announced that he will not be going to the White House to meet the President, as Super Bowl champions do every year. “I haven’t thought about it since the game, but I’m not going to go” said Bennett shortly after the victory. “I feel like right now I’m just trying to enjoy this. But, it is what it is. People know how I feel about it. Just follow me on Twitter.”

While he hasn’t been too explicit in his criticisms of Trump, anyone can read between the lines here:

The tweet refers to villainous characters in the popular Harry Potter book series.

Our commander-in-chief worships the limelight and the adoration of celebrities, so a public rejection by a Super Bowl champion is sure to grind his gears. We applaud Bennett for refusing to normalize and legitimize our racist and divisive so-called President by visiting him at the White House.
