A Woman Just Scolded Mitch McConnell For Lying About Obamacare And It’s PERFECT
Republicans across the country are holding town halls tonight – and they aren’t getting the receptions they hoped they would. Furious voters were loudly calling for their representatives and Senators to protect their health insurance and to stand up to President Trump’s appalling policies – or lose their jobs.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was greeted by protesters as he arrived at a private fundraising luncheon in his home state, too cowardly to hold an actual town hall.
But even the attendees at his lunch were furious with him. McConnell could only lamely smile as this angry constituent chastised him for lying to them for so many years about coal jobs and then moving to strip them of affordable healthcare:

The protesters were waiting for him when he left:

When later asked about the protesters, McConnell called them “losers:”
“They had their shot in the election. … But in this country when you win the election you get to make policy. I always remind people, winners make policy and losers go home.”
Some Republicans couldn’t handle the pressure and fled out the back door, like Rep. Joni Ernst (R-IA):

An Afghan translator who worked with U.S. military demanded Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) protect him and other Muslim immigrants from Trump’s anti-immigrant orders. Grassley refused to answer and was met with a chorus of boos.
The line for Rep. Dave Brat’s town hall stretched around the block in a tiny town of only 3,000 residents. The craven sell-vote held it 60 miles from most of his constituents, but they showed up in force anyway:

This outpouring of fury is just what Republicans deserve. After years and years of ignoring the demands of their constituents to serve their corporate masters in Washington, Republican politicians are finally starting to get the message that people don’t want them to repeal the Affordable Care Act and that their cowardly enabling of President Trump’s unhinged and un-American agenda is not what the American people want to see from their elected officials.
