Trump Said He Would Beat Elizabeth Warren in 2020. Her Response Is Perfect

On Saturday, Donald Trump continued his weekend ritual of golf and digging himself into holes, this time saying that running for reelection against Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) would be “a dream come true.”

Today, at a rally in Springfield, Massachusetts, the popular progressive champion responded, and in classic Warren fashion, she took The Donald to school.

“Donald Trump hasn’t even finished his first hundred days,” Warren said, “and yet, he has already delivered one gut punch after another to hardworking, middle-class families.”

She continued to hammer Trump’s obsession with petty trivialities, saying “He wants to do his tweets, he wants to think about how big his crowd size was, he wants to think about what happens four years from now. What I’m thinking about is what Donald Trump is doing to this country today. That’s what really, really has me up and working hard.”

Time and again, Donald Trump has tried to distract us from the things that really matter, and each time, Senator Warren has remained steadfastly focused on the issues facing American families. Trump is right about one thing. Elizabeth Warren really is a dream come true.
