NY Magazine Just Revealed How Pres. Bush Ridiculed Trump’s Inauguration
It’s no secret that the last two Republican presidents are not buddies with the current one. Early in the Republican primary, Donald Trump mercilessly savaged Jeb Bush, son of the the 41st President and brother to the 43rd. Rumors swirled that the entire Bush family voted for Hillary Clinton last fall.
We will likely never know which side they took in the election, but now we know what “43” thought of Trump’s Inauguration.
New York Magazine reports that three people close to George W. Bush heard him say the same thing as he left the stage:
“That was some weird shit.”
Bush was wrong on virtually every issue during his presidency, and the horrors of President Trump should not lead us to romanticize the long-term destruction he caused at home and abroad.
But Bush nailed this one perfectly on day one. And it’s only getting weirder.
