After months of speculation, Deadline is reporting that John Stewart’s replacement has largely been decided on. Although Comedy Central is staying mum, the Internet is buzzing with the news that Trevor Noah will take over Stewart’s throne after his long reign ends later this year.
Noah, who hails from South Africa, has had a few stints on The Daily Show, one of which memorably riffed on the differences between apartheid South Africa and today’s America.
