Watch: Confederate Flag Supporter Yells at Black Man, 'Go Back to Where You Came From!'
In this video from today’s rally by supporters of the Confederate Flag in South Carolina, a man is seen yelling at a black man to “go back to where you came from” if he doesn’t like the confederate flag – a symbol of hate, racism, and homegrown terrorism against blacks.
In second video, he explains himself, stating that “if you don’t believe in America’s pride, America’s history, you’re not an American!”
Really? I’m pretty sure that not feeling”pride” over a symbol of racism doesn’t disqualify anyone from being American.
Of course, it’s doubtful that this conservative protester has any idea that the black man who he is yelling at to “go back” to where he “came from” is probably as American as apple pie, being that his descendants are likely of African-Americans who were brutally torn from their homeland and forced to live under slavery in the American south.
This video is a great example of the arrogance and historical cluelessness of supporters of the Confederate Flag, and the racism that underlies their obsession with honoring the “history” of their symbol of racial oppression.
