Watch: Huckabee Vows To Force Daughters Raped By Father To Bear the Child
In this clip, the evangelical firebrand, unrepentant misogynist, and Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee spoke out on the abhorrent case of a ten year-old Paraguayan girl who had been defiled by her stepfather and forced to carry the child to term.
It should come as little surprise that Huckabee agrees with the decision to force the girl to bear a child. “Creating one problem that is horrible — let nobody be misled, a 10-year-old girl being raped is horrible — but does it solve a problem by taking the life of an innocent child?” Huckabee said. “And that’s really the issue. When I think about one horror, I think about the possibilities that exist and I don’t want to think that somehow we discount a human life.”
Never mind the risks to the child’s health that would almost certainly accompany the birthing of her baby, no, “small government” Huckabee feels the need to pass judgement and make decisions about what’s right for women across the world. The appeal to the sanctity of life sounds very hollow coming from a man who compared President Obama’s gun-control agenda to Nazism, or who called for guns to be allowed in churches following the massacre at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston , NC.
Huckabee is a hypocrite of the worst kind, and his utter lack of regard for the needs and feelings of the victims of unspeakable crimes is appalling for a man who dares to call himself a preacher.
