More evidence of just what evils that Donald Trump and the rest of the Republican Party’s virulent anti-Muslim hate speech will provoke was made clear on Monday, when 55-year-old William Celli was arrested in Richmond, California, for building homemade bombs in his house and “threatening to harm Muslims.”
A sweep of the man’s social media accounts reveals a deep love for Donald Trump and dangerous anti-Muslim tirades and anti-immigrant tirades that are entirely out of touch with reality but appear to be the usual content of Donald Trump’s stump speeches:
We are extremely luck that an anonymous neighbor alerted the proper authorities in time. It is absolutely disgusting that the right-wing’s efforts to deal with possible Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) plots are simply creating more terrorists who, inspired by rabble-rousing demagogues like Trump, plot to unleash death and terror on innocent Muslim citizens. They are no better than the masked militants of Daesh, and this coming on the heels of so many anti-Muslim hate crimes should really give us all pause and ask ourselves whether or not we are dealing with this in the right way. If we allow fear to divide us from each other, we have let the terrorists win. All our efforts will be for naught.
