In this exciting clip, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) shows up to Saturday Night Live to show his celebrity impersonates Larry David what democratic socialism is really all about.
The skit begins with a ship lost in a storm, reminiscent of the ill-fated voyage of the Titanic.
The captain begins to segregate the passengers by their personal wealth before Bernie Sanders appears and explains how all the passengers need to work together to save the ship, which David then derides as “socialism.”
“ITS DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM!” roars back Bernie. The ship them makes it safely to New York, in a very fitting metaphor for how the cooperation and tolerance of the American people can lead us out of our current plight.
