A mass shooting has just ended in Hesston, Kansas, at Excel Industries. Two fatalities have been confirmed, early reports indicate there may be as many as twenty injured, several in serious condition. The shooter was killed by law enforcement after a firefight, it appears to be a workplace shooting. How morbid is it that we now have different categories for all the ways that the well-regulated militia slaughters their compatriots?
Just another day in the United States in America. It would be interesting to see if this horrible tragedy is brought up at tonight’s Republican Presidential debate, but don’t hold your breath. Expect hopes and prayers and calls for looser gun laws to be issued posthaste.
The shooter has been identified as Cedric Ford, a painter who had a long history of criminal activity in Broward County, Florida and was said to have “mental issues,” but somehow had access to assault rifles.
