Watch: Florida Woman Gives Rick Scott The EPIC Public Shaming He Deserves
In this clip, Florida’s Republican Governor Rick Scott thought he was just getting a cup of coffee at Starbucks – but got more than he bargained for when confronted by an angry citizen. A woman recognized Scott, and when presented with an opportunity we’d all like to have, seized the moment to let him know how she really felt about his governorship.
She let loose with a tirade of frustration that all of Florida can understand, calling him out for his petulant refusal to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act and leaving a million low-income Floridians without healthcare.
“You don’t care about working people! You should be ashamed to show your face around here!” she thunders at the odious conservative. Scott can only reply with “I got us a million jobs” in a weak and humiliated tone.
“A million jobs? GREAT. Who here has a great job? Or is looking forward to graduating, do you really feel like you have a job coming up? YOU STRIPPED WOMEN OF ACCESS TO PUBLIC HEALTHCARE. SHAME ON YOU, RICK SCOTT!”
Well, Republicans, listen up. Especially you, Sam Brownback, Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal, Mike Pence, Rick Snyder, and every other Republican governor which has wrecked their state with their free-market extremism. This is how the American people really feel about what you’ve done to them and their families.
