Fox News Benghazi “Expert” Pleads Guilty To Impersonating CIA Agent

Wayne Simmons, the FOX News “Benghazi Expert” Islamophobia correspondent who spent years lying to the American people in their endless coverage of the non-conspiracy surrounding the Sept 2012 attack on the US embassy in Libya, has just plead guilty to impersonating a CIA agent for twenty seven years. Prosecuting assistant attorney Paul Nathanson announced that Simmons “never had any association whatsoever with the CIA” while Dana Boente, U.S. Virginia Attorney, “His fraud cost the government money, could have put American lives at risk, and was an insult to the real men and women of the intelligence community who provide tireless service to this country.”

During those 27 years, instead of working for the CIA, Simmons embarked on a bizarre mixture of legitimate jobs and shady dealings, including scamming a woman out of $125,000 (which he also plead guilty to) while racking up a laundry list of petty crimes. Rolling Stone notes that “he ran a limousine service, a gambling operation and an AIDS-testing clinic; worked for a hot-tub business, a carpeting company and a nightclub; and briefly played defensive back for the New Orleans Saints. Along the way, he accrued criminal convictions, including multiple DUIs, plus charges for weapons possession and assault, and an arrest for attacking a cabdriver in Annapolis, Maryland, in 2007. ‘F*ck you, you can’t do sh*t to me – do you know who I am? Simmons told a cop.”

Simmons faces up to forty years in prison, which is nowhere near long enough for the lies that he told the American people – like at one point saying that there were “at least 19 paramilitary Muslim training facilities in the United States and they are using paramilitary exercises to plan and execute these types of operations all over the United States.” FOX News doesn’t deserve to be called “news” in the first place – the idea that they background check their “analysts” so poorly is just more confirmation that they are nothing but a vicious propaganda machine, no better than Russia Today or Al-Arabiya or any of the other “news” agencies that do nothing but propagate false narratives for diabolical political purposes.
