Watch: Anti-LGBT “Christians” Storm A Target Store and Terrorize Customers
All across America, Christian extremists are storming into Target stores and terrorizing customers with anti-gay bigotry in a coordinated effort to smear trans people and attack target for their open-minded policy of allowing individuals to use the bathroom of their choice.
As you can see in the video below, in Portland, Oregon, an anti-LGBT Christian entered a Target store literally thumping his Bible while shouting the following:
“Target this is your wake up call. The Bible says that from the beginning God made them male and female. He didn’t make them transvestites. He made them male and female…Target, this is your warning. You will be judged according to God’s standards. Not man’s, but God’s. The Bible says to fear God …You need to repent…You will be judged. And if there are Christians in here, supporting this abomination, shame on you! … But you justify this place. You have to stand by the bathrooms because perverts can go in there. Because transvestites allowed.”
His rant goes on and on as a Target employee notifies him that they called 911, and he needs him to vacate the store and shoppers tell him repeatedly to shut up and leave. When he tries to shame Christians for shopping at Target, a shopper replied back, “You’re not a real Christian. You’re an assh*le.”
Thanks to this far right crusade, Americans can no longer shop at a department store in peace. Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated incident. NBC Chicago reported another anti-LGBT Christian was arrested at a Target in Illinois for protesting the store’s bathroom policy.
This is the world that Republicans have created. Now that the gay and lesbian community has gained political power, far right evangelicals are now setting their sights on the most powerless and marginalized members of society: transgender Americans.
Shame on them.
