The United States just got a terrifying glimpse into the Trumpian repression of creative thought and free speech that we may have to deal with in the future. Illma Gore, the Australian-born artist who painted the now-ubiquitous painting of a nude Donald Trump with a micropenis, was viciously assaulted by a Trump supporter on a trip back to Los Angeles. Even though Illma thought it was finally safe, the fury of the Trumpcoats proved otherwise.
Today I was punched in the face by a man who got out of his car and yelled, “Trump 2016!” in Los Angeles, just days after I returned home from London just down the road from my house. Though I encourage passion, opinion and emotion, especially though art, I think violence is disgusting. To live in a place where Facebook has given my address to an anonymous third party makes me feel like I am homeless again. This type of violence makes creatives feel like we live in a world where our individual creative input isn’t safe. I am sad that this is the state of our America right now. I am sad that Trump, and many of his supporters, don’t find words enough to express their opinions – they need walls, waterboarding and punches. @realdonaldtrump Please stop glamorizing and perpetuating violence. Make America Decent Again! #makeamericadecentagain No, they have not been caught, and the men drove off laughing. A detailed police report has been filed.

“Art is the lie that allows us to see the truth.” Pablo Picasso. I am not deterred by this. Thanks for everyone’s support. If anyone saw anything on La Cienega on Friday, please let the local authorities know. Black Honda Civic with a group of people in the car.

Just in case you happened to forget… here is the picture, in all its limp and minuscule glory.
While we at OccupyDemocrats disavow the absurd social conceptions of hypermasculinity that surround the “issue” of one’s natural endowment, the fact that the Donald Trump campaign is dealing with this…accusation so forcefully is infinitely entertaining to the rest of us – and damaging to his own campaign.
The very fact that he had to go on television to assure the American people that he in fact did not have a tiny penis, but that it was tremendous and he even guaranteed us that there would be no problem is very bizarre in its own self. Discarding all the immediate vulgarity that accompanies such a question, it is worth considering why Mr. Trump thinks that we as a nation would be concerned with his tiny penis at all.
What is truly upsetting, however, is the fact that this particular issue is of great concern to the Donald – but the rampant racism, sexism, bigotry, is just shrugged aside. After all the encouragement of white supremacists, vile ethnonationalist hatred, the endorsement of torture and murder, it’s the thought that some people are making insinuations about his putrid todger are getting him riled up?
His excessively exaggerated reaction is similar to that of the Turkish dictator and burgeoning genocidaire Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who has recently sued the German government and plunged the international relations of two NATO countries into crisis over a German comedian’s satirical poem that mocked the Turkish leader. Given that his supporters are already beginning to act against people who take cheap shots at everyone’s favorite fascist, the idea of how he might react to slights by other nations as the Commander-in-Chief should send a shudder down all of our spines.
We hope that that brave woman who was so viciously assaulted by a fanatical Trump supporter is healing properly, is in a safe place, and possibly back on a flight to England. This is what the people of the United States can expect from a Trump administration – knocks on the door in the night for making a simple joke about the man’s withered, weakened wedding tackle.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a terrible man who is dragging a NATO nation, one of our close allies, and one of the former secular bastions of the Middle East, into the depths of Islamist fascism while committing war crimes against our only real allies in the region, the noble Kurdish people of Rojava like Trump would do to everybody who isn’t a white Christian male. He is a Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) collaborator that takes our aid money in one hand and gives it to terrorists with the other in exchange for oil. You should go on Twitter and make fun of him because he is a sharmuta malakas who is scared of people who make fun of him on the Internet.
Donald Trump is going to be the Republican nominee…and you know what to do. You should probably make fun of him too.
What do you think?
