Middle-class champion Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts has emerged as one of the most vocal opponents of presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, engaging in heated Twitter wars and ripping him in speech after speech. She plans to continue her assault on the racist charlatan at her state’s Democratic convention today, eviscerating him with a barrage of frighteningly accurate barbs: “An insecure moneygrubber. Scary. Loud. Outrageous. Offensive. Small. A failure. Fraudster-in-chief.”
An early copy of her remarks also shows that Warren attacking Trump for running an elaborate scam and calling it a university – a scheme through which he swindled tens of thousands of dollars from innocent Americans looking to advance their careers and find success in business – but got a useless cereal-box “diploma” in return.
“It was like a used car dealership—except that’s not fair to used car dealerships. His playbook said to look for people with problems; they make good targets. These were ordinary folks who were targeted because they had problems and Trump saw they were vulnerable and he could make a buck. Here’s a man who builds a business to profit off other peoples’ pain. He wants to be Commander in Chief, but he’s only qualified to be Fraudster-in-Chief.”
It is really quite astonishing how the Republican voter base is so desperate to reject the GOP establishment that they’ll willingly embrace a man with an obscenely long track record of being a liar, a cheat, and a fraud. How anyone could vote for a man who shows such flagrant disregard for the needs and dreams of the American people, a man who openly incites racism and division, a man who obviously sees the world through delusions fueled by his own toxic narcissism is quite beyond any of us at this point.
But Senator Warren is absolutely right – this man isn’t qualified to run his own businesses, let alone a global superpower. As a businessman, Trump’s track record is mediocre at best. As a person, it’s hard to find anyone with less redeeming qualities than Donald Trump, who openly views women as objects existing only for his own pleasure, insults entire segments of the population on a regular basis, and who prides himself on behaving with the maturity and sophistication of a spoiled child. Warren has selflessly spent her whole career fighting for the American middle class; she is thus the perfect champion to take on a predatory, selfish patrician like Trump.
Keep it up, Senator Warren.
