Elated by the news of Brexit, some hardheaded and independent Texans are stomping their boots and calling for “Texit” – a Texan secession from the United States. So far no politicians have commented, but pro- and anti-Texit supporters alike are having their fun on Twitter.
Some Texans apparently think a desire for independence is so obvious that they simply ask for Texit.
Does this mean Texas can vote to leave the United States? #Texit

Here in Texas, the stunning #BREXIT victory is now emboldening real talk of #TEXIT – the call for independence and freedom is in the air!

Some non-Texans are pro-Texit, but not because they like Texas.
#Texit is something I would support. Please leave and take your 38 guaranteed red electoral votes with you.

A couple people remember that Texas actually did try to become an independent country during the Civil War, but was ultimately restored to the Union.
lol…talking about #texit like they didn’t try that once.

And then there is this lady, who has preparing for this day for a long time.
