BREAKING: Over A Dozen Casualties In Terrorist Attack At German Mall

It is with weary hearts and abject horror that we must bring you news of a possible terrorist attack in Munich, Germany. As many as fifteen are dead after a mass shooting in at the Olympia Einkaufszentrum shopping mall, a subway station, and a coffee shop. Unconfirmed Twitter reports indicate that there may still an active shooter – or possibly multiple shooters.
The attack is the most recent in a string of strikes by lone wolves or Daeshi (ISIS/ISIL) sleeper cells. Ethnoreligious tensions are skyrocketing as Europe is flooded with refugees as the Syrian Civil War drags into its fifth year. That conflict gave rise to Daesh in the first place, while Assadi brutality purposefully drives his population out of Syria and into Europe, purposefully destabilizing and inflaming far-right anti-immigration, anti-globalist sentiment – further dividing us and making us all easy targets for predatory forces to exploit.
Germany has been a bastion of multiethnic pluralism and has embraced hundreds of thousands of refugees desperately fleeing conflict – and Daesh is trying to punish them for it. But as always, should xenophobia succeed, it will be the innocents who suffer. As after every one of these attacks, we can only ask for people to not give in to fear and hatred and keep the cycle of violence from infinitely perpetuating.
