Elizabeth Warren Just Destroyed Donald Trump’s Economic Agenda in Just 11 Tweets

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MASS) has become one of the Democratic Party’s most vocal personalities on Twitter, and today it only took her 11 tweets to completely demolish Donald Trump’s economic policy speech as nothing but the same old trickle-down voodoo economics, deregulatory recklessness, and budget-destroying tax cuts that is now orthodox GOP policy.

It’s no surprise that Trump announced a bunch of pro-oligarch proposals to slash taxes on the ultra-rich and repeal important regulations, because he chose an economic team of all white wealthy Wall Streeters, bankers and business associates. Unsurprisingly, those economic advisers are also some of Trump’s biggest donors, meaning that they’re expecting a return on their investments and have no intention of doing anything for the American working class.

But Sen. Warren has found the secret to upending Trump’s Twitter attacks, and began firing salvo after salvo of truth-bombs at the Republican presidential candidate. In just six short months Elizabeth Warren’s twitter following has tripled, growing by 440,000 followers as the consumer affairs law professor found her groove.

Over the course of those same nine months, Donald Trump has done nothing to demonstrate that he has a single clue about how the American economy works, unveiling a plan that would bankrupt America, according to economists on both sides of the aisle.

When Republicans in his party begged Trump to “pivot” for the general election, they really meant that he needed to pair his racial hatred which so attracts low income voters with a 1%er agenda to screw the working class. In that way, Trump’s campaign is actually a very traditional GOP affair, centered around mesmerizing uneducated voters with small words and big sounding ideas, whose main goal is to help the country club set keep a few extra dimes, and to scale back all forms of consumer protection, unleashing a river of nickels for the taking by the highest bidder in his campaign.

Senator Warren’s tweets ripped the thin mask off of Trump’s very mainstream, old and failed economic ideas, which voters of both major political parties reject today – even if the Republican candidate’s voters think they’re getting something new, and have been seriously misled:
