Donald Trump took an ultimate gamble and choked when it came time to launch his cockamamie plan of belligerent, bullying diplomacy in Mexico City after spending over an entire year bashing our neighbors to the south.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta immediately seized on the hilarity of Trump’s timid lies at the press conference following his careful reading of prepared remarks after so many false promises:
Donald Trump has made his outlandish policy of forcing Mexico to pay for his giant wall, the centerpiece of his campaign. But at the first opportunity to make good on his offensive campaign promises, Trump choked. What we saw today from a man who claims to be the ultimate ‘deal maker’ is that he doesn’t have the courage to advocate for his campaign promises when he’s not in front of a friendly crowd.
Afterwards, the new “low energy” Trump carefully read prepared remarks so slowly that CNN’s Republican commentator Ana Navarro exclaimed after the press conference, that her party’s candidate got a “personality transplant” from the teleprompter.
Trump traveled all the way to Mexico City to watch silently, as Mexico’s equally unpopular President reminded the world that there’s actually more people moving from America to his country, than moving here from there, that NAFTA hugely benefits all of North America and that a trade war would harm more workers in the United States than today’s Republican will honestly admit since more than 40% of the parts assembled south of the border come from America.
Besides wimping out on 'who will build the wall', Trump also meekly folded & curled up in the fetal position on 'NAFTA'. #TrumpEnMexico

Ironically, there even wasn’t supposed to be a Q&A after the prepared remarks, but as usual it was Donald Trump veering off script during his desperate attempt at shotgun diplomacy which led to his big lie about “not discussing” who would pay for his wall plan.
None of this escaped the watchful eyes of the twitterverse, where the #TrumpenMexico hashtag suddenly flooded with images of this new, low-energy Trump pretending to love Mexicans as much as he loved the script he dumped to cause an international incident by lying at the unplanned press conference, following the carefully prepared remarks read by the Republican racist candidate for President.
