A Senator Just Called For Homeland Security to Investigate Trump’s Human Trafficking Agency

Republican nominee Donald Trump’s Models Management company hired a ton of undocumented foreign workers in the early 2000s for his fashion modeling business. An explosive Mother Jones investigation exposed Trump’s company for widespread immigration law violations and disturbing maltreatment of their employees, leading to California Senator Barbara Boxer’s letter requesting that the Department of Homeland Security open an investigation into how the modeling agency smuggled women from across the globe through our country’s international border for work purposes.

The Republican Party’s nasty, “tough-on-immigration” candidate, whose policy proposals would’ve kept his own wife out of the country actually is guilty of human trafficking -illegally importing women who he then exploited by charging foreign workers exorbitant rents and all expenses, while paying them little if anything at all from the Trump Models Management agency.

This isn’t even the first time this election season that Trump has been accused of taking women across borders for the purposes of evading labor laws in multiple countries for the sake of his entertainment businesses. Earlier this summer, one of the participants on Trump’s cancelled MTV reality show “Girls of Hedsor Hall” also accused the magnate of shipping her internationally to pay less than minimum wage in 2008 on the set of the poorly received show.

Senator Boxer also copied her letter to the Secretary of Labor, Tom Perez, whose department is in charge of matters of using undocumented labor in America, and failing to pay workers’ social security and FICA taxes, which certainly would’ve been the case for models imported from Canada or eastern Europe without papers. This may come as a surprise to you, but this isn’t even Trump’s first time exploiting foreign labor either; in fact, his signature building and residence Trump Tower was built with the help of illegal Polish workers paid no minimum wage or overtime who cleared the site, earning a substantial fine for the orange-faced developer.

Republicans nominated a man whose been on the wrong side of federal investigators since the early 1970s for racism and unlawful labor practices, and now he’ll probably face new fines and sanctions for this latest round of illegal behavior. The hypocrisy is truly incredible; apparently lecherous old Trump is a big fan of illegal immigration when the immigrants are beautiful white women in a strange country and are utterly at his mercy.
