More and more of Republican nominee Donald Trump’s former employees are coming out of the woodwork to share their horror stories of what it was really like to work for the sexist billionaire as a woman. Annie Donohue worked at the restaurant serving the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, and felt the urge to share her stories after the Los Angeles Times published an article revealing how Trump would only hire attractive women and fire those that didn’t meet his “standards” – which, creepily enough, was “young” and “skinny.”
Annie took to Instagram to share her thoughts and observations, which include some extremely inappropriate and discriminatory practices:
Somehow I passed for being attractive enough to wait on him. I know I wasn’t his first choice and I wasn’t his type. He didn’t make me stand there while he put his arm around me and made the other men at the table tell me how beautiful I was like he did to my friend. I didn’t get sent home or not scheduled for work on the day’s when he was visiting the property, but plenty of my female coworkers did. I was in my mid 20’s at the time and I could tell that was pushing it for being able to be in The Donald’s presence. He wanted to see girls still in their teens, the thinner and prettier the better.
She ends her post with a warning to the women of America, remarking that “being a woman and consciously choosing to vote for this man, is choosing to vote against your gender. It’s choosing to let this sexist bully get away with discrimination against not only women, but immigrants, minorities, and the working class.”
Trump’s rampant sexism and perverse sexual tastes have been very well documented at this point. He only sees women as sexual objects, there for his own pleasure but not worthy of the respect and consideration that he would give to males – and that’s why he‘s losing support of women across the board. We absolutely cannot elect a president who would treat half of our population with such disdain.
