Republican Donald Trump’s campaign for President went into free-fall last night after the explosive release of an audio recording of the candidate confessing to extra-marital affairs, sexual assaults, and unwanted advances while his newlywed wife Melania was pregnant. Now, more women are stepping forward, and the first to reveal Trump’s unwanted advances is a friend of CNN’s Erin Burnett — she has a corroborating witness as well.
When Donald Trump spoke on the hot mic to Billy Bush about Tic Tacs, the incident triggered this new victim, who went to CNN. It all happened in the boardroom:
In March 2010, the woman — who asked not to be identified — met Trump in a boardroom in Trump Tower. Another man — a colleague of Burnett’s friend — was in the boardroom at the time of the incident. The woman told Burnett: “Trump took Tic Tacs, suggested I take them also. He then leaned in, catching me off guard, and kissed me almost on lips. I was really freaked out. … After (the meeting), Trump asked me to come into his office alone. Was really unsure what to do. … Figured I could handle myself. Anyway, once in his office he kept telling me how special I am and gave me his cell, asked me to call him. I ran the hell out of there.”
The Republican nominee loves to brag about “advancing women’s careers” but the sad truth is that before any attractive women could get into Trump’s executive suite, he plainly enjoyed using his money and position to proposition those same women.
The woman Burnett knows said Friday that hearing Trump’s line about Tic Tacs in the 2005 tape “just made me sick.” The other man who was in the boardroom in Trump Tower confirms the alleged 2010 exchange between Trump and the woman occurred.
Last night, Trump delivered a scripted apology from his campaign staff to unspecified recipients, without raising an eyebrow, while the high-ups of Republican National Committee met in secret to debate his replacement –although it’s obviously way too late to undo the damage to their party’s radioactive brand.
It’s time for police to “lock him up!”
