Donald Trump bragged on the radio that he used his control of the Miss USA pageant competition to satisfy his perverse desires to see all of the contestants nude in the dressing rooms. The Republican nominee has used and abused women for decades, and this weekend’s revelation of more damaging remarks on the Howard Stern show by CNN, which validated former Miss New Hampshire Bridget Sullivan’s allegations as completely factual. The Trump campaign denied [sic] the initial report, but that was another lie by the Republican campaign. Buzzfeed reports:
“I’ll tell you the funniest is that I’ll go backstage before a show and everyone’s getting dressed,” Trump told Stern in recordings released Saturday by CNN. “No men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in, because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it…. ‘Is everyone OK’? You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody OK?’ And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that. The former Miss New Hampshire told BuzzFeed News last spring that Donald Trump strolled through the dressing rooms backstage at the 2000 Miss USA pageant and stared at the naked contestants.
“The time that he walked through the dressing rooms was really shocking. We were all naked,” she said. Sullivan compared Trump to a “creepy uncle.” “He’d hug you just a little low on your back,” she said
Republicans have spent the last year supporting Donald Trump because of his supposed “business record” without actually examining that record in any meaningful way. Trump’s misuse of a respected – if archaic – competition for women, into a high-class menagerie of naked ladies for his own perverse amusement displays the true Donald. All voters should judge him by this single incident alone, if for nothing else, because it demonstrates his quest for naked power at the expense of women.
Trump’s serial adultery and multiple marriages were already a matter of public record during the primary season, including his announcing his breakup with second wife Marla Maples in the New York Post, before telling her personally. Trump ordered a lackey to deposit a copy of The Post on her doorstep with the front page headline “Donald is Divorcing Marla.”
The vulgar Republican nominee is a crass misogynist, serial sexual harasser and pervert. He has used his celebrity and his familial wealth to build a lifestyle that would be fine for any pornographic magazine publisher, but which is completely unacceptable for any candidate for President.
