The House Science Committee showed just how beholden they are to fossil fuel corporations when their official Twitter page tweeted out a link to fascist hate-rag Breitbart that misrepresents the coming of winter as a sign of how climate change isn’t real.

The allegation is, of course, absurd. The evidence that man-made climate change is affecting the world on a catastrophic scale is irrefutable at this point. THe United States Pentagon even recognizes the threat that our nation faces from the warming of the atmosphere and the melting of the icecaps.
“Global climate change will have wide-ranging implications for U.S. national security interests over the foreseeable future because it will aggravate existing problems — such as poverty, social tensions, environmental degradation, ineffectual leadership, and weak political institutions — that threaten domestic stability in a number of countries.”
Senator Bernie Sanders, a visionary who has made fighting climate change one of his key issues, fired back with a perfect response.

Trump University, of course, was the fraudulent “university” that Donald Trump set up to cheat thousands of every-day Americans out of their hard-earned money. It gave no accredited diplomas and was nothing but an elaborate scam.
The members of the House Science Committee have turned it into another propaganda arm for Big Oil. It will come as no surprise that Committee Leader Lamar Smith (R-TX) has received almost $650,000 from big oil and gas companies, making the industry his biggest financier and making him one of the largest recipients of oil industry buyouts in Congress.
Anyone with half a brain can see that month after month brings the highest temperatures ever recorded. Only a fool would refuse to acknowledge how storms hit with more fury than they did before; that droughts are longer and wildfires deadlier. Natural disasters will increase in intensity and frequency if we continue to pollute as quickly as we do. The wrath of Gaia is the biggest threat facing the human race – and we must confront it head on if we want human civilization to survive as we know it.
