Trump Chose A Climate Denier To Head EPA. Bette Midler’s Response Is Perfect
Donald Trump’s recently chose Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency, which is the literal equivalent to appointing a fox to guard the henhouse. Pruitt is actively suing the EPA over President Obama’s clean air and clean water laws because they’re too much of a burden on big business.
Pruitt is a loyal servant to the fossil fuel agency, and appointing him to the lead the EPA will guarantee that our environment will be pillaged and exploited by big business the minute he steps foot in the White House. Instead of moving away from carbon-polluting fossil fuels, Trump appointed a climate denier who will do everything he can to expand fracking operations in residential areas and drilling operations in our national parks.
World famous actress Bette Midler took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the issue – and she hit the nail right on the head.

Our planet is warming at unprecedented rates, and we are long past the point of no return. Scientists recently announced sea ice levels were at their lowest in recorded history. If we do everything we can to cut back on carbon emissions, we may be able to prevent an environmental cataclysm – but Trump is doing everything he can to accelerate the process, putting millions of lives at risk as the seas rise and weather patterns become more extreme.
