Twitter Erupts After Trump Tweets Out The Most Childish New Year’s Message EVER
Donald Trump continues to display a repulsive lack of grace and humility going into the new year, sending a clear message to the vapid pundits and admonishing politicians hoping that someday he’s just going to suddenly drop the deplorable act that he has no intention of doing anything of the sort.
Trump continued his annual tradition of using holidays and somber occasions (like Thanksgiving and, uh, September 11th) as a platform to take cheap shots at his critics and his detractors this morning when he decided to use his second holiday address to the nation as President as a platform to taunt the American people and to label the 65 million Americans that voted against him as his “enemies.”
Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don't know what to do. Love!

The Twittersphere roundly raked him over the coals for this astonishingly rude affront:
Our President-elect's #HappyNewYear message is passive-aggressive condescension.
Grow up, @realDonaldTrump. You're embarrassing yourself.

the only people who don't hate you are people you despise. the people whose respect you want think you're an idiot 🙁

.@realDonaldTrump You just don't want people to know you feel constantly embattled and isolated. It's ok to have barely won. You won!

.@realDonaldTrump The American people are not your "enemies."

It’s clear at this point that expecting any other kind of behavior from our Insecure-Child-In-Chief is a waste of time. We must steel ourselves for the coming future and resolve this year to not give an inch to Trump and the Republican scourge.
