Trump Just Said He Doesn’t Trust U.S. Intelligence. George Takei’s Response is Hilarious

Donald Trump is, by all accounts except his own, not a smart man. He himself believes that, for instance, he does not need to read since he can make the “right decision with very little knowledge other than the knowledge I [already] had, plus the words ‘common sense,’ because I have a lot of common sense and I have a lot of business ability.”

Such nonsensical self-congratulating ramblings are very common for Trump, who offered a similar excuse as to why he didn’t need to attend his intelligence briefings earlier this year. “I don’t have to be told — you know, I’m, like, a smart person. I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years. Could be eight years — but eight years. I don’t need that.”

Under pressure from the public, Trump had reluctantly promised to attend an intelligence briefing regarding the Russian cyberwarfare and propaganda campaign carried out during the November 2016 elections in his favor. Today, Trump tweeted out that the meeting had been moved up to Friday, inferring that this was done to give them more time to build a case, implying that the unquestionable evidence released by the FBI somehow isn’t solid.

For the record, the meeting was always scheduled for Friday, and Trump is distorting the truth to sow doubt in the minds of his rabid followers.

World-famous actor and LGBT activist George Takei took to Twitter today to issue a savage response to Trump’s blathering:

It’s clear now that this tweet is a part of a misinformation campaign designed to undermine the credibility of our own intelligence agencies and to sweep the interference by a foreign power in our election under the rug, but Takei’s point remains. Trump has no use for “intelligence briefings” or data from the State Department or any other federal agency since he is so utterly convinced that his brain – which we all know is ruled by his ego and his insecurities – is all he needs.
