Pictures comparing the crowds at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration and President Obama’s inauguration, demonstrating just how unpopular the new President Trump is – especially in comparison to his predecessor.
Finally, we have had official estimates come in, and the results are damning proof that Trump has barely any mandate to govern. Obama’s inauguration saw crowds of around 1.8 million joyful Americans; the audience at Trump’s numbered somewhere between 700,000 and 900,000. According to the most generous estimates, Trump has half of the turnout that Obama had.
Throughout his campaign, Trump kept insisting that the only ‘un-rigged’ way to judge his popularity was to look at the crowds that turned out for his rallies. Today we are taking a hard look at his crowds and by his own logic, Trump is failing hard at uniting and exciting America. It’s sure to be a huge irritation for the new president. who is obsessed with ratings and comparing the size of his crowd.
