This New Poll Will Give You Hope That Trump Will Be Defeated

Public Policy Polling [PPP] just released new findings that a full 40% of Americans already think President Donald Trump should be impeached, and another 12% are unsure about whether they support the prospect. Trump has been in office for less than two weeks.

PPP’s president Dean Debnam explains, “Usually a newly elected president is at the peak of their popularity and enjoying their honeymoon after taking office right now. But Donald Trump’s making history once again with a sizeable share of voters already wanting to impeach him, and a majority of voters wishing they could have Barack Obama back.”

52% of respondents said that they would rather have Obama in the presidency than Trump right now. This is more even than the astonishing  49% of respondents who disapprove of Trump’s performance since the inauguration.

So far Trump’s term in office has been marked by mass protests and an unconstitutional travel ban targeting seven majority-Muslim countries. The Women’s March quickly became the largest protest in American history with nearly 3 million protesters showing their support for women, LGBTQ Americans, people of color, and other marginalized communities. The people are watching and are horrified at what they see, and that 40% is bound to increase dramatically over the next month.
