World-famous actor and outspoken Trump critic Robert De Niro just took to the popular daytime television talk show the View to unload on our president and his appalling first two weeks in office. His verdict? “It doesn’t look good.”
First, they discussed De Niro’s pre-election declaration that he would like to punch Trump in the face, and he stands by it today. “How dare he say that? How dare he say the things he does? Of course I want to punch him in the face. It was only a symbolic thing, anyway. It’s not like I was going to find him… but sometimes when people are bullies like that, he’s got to hear it, how he makes people feel.”
They then discuss his attendance at President Obama’s final White House party, sharing their love for our former president: “He tried to do what was right. When you have people going in there just to win — it’s not about winning. It’s about the people. Now’s the time to see what he’s going to do, but it doesn’t look good.”
We couldn’t agree more.
