In this moving advertisement from Cadillac automobiles, the voiceover admits that we’re supposed to be divided as nation – but then spends the next minute proving that statement wrong.
Following a mold laid out by similar ads from other corporations in this volatile political climate, it shows men, women, and children from all walks of life, all races, and all creeds embracing their common human-ness and revealing that all those division are nothing but false labels.
Even though our politics have created new divisions among us and exacerbated the old ones, the universal love and joy of the human spirit can never be extinguished.
