The House Intelligence Chair Just Tried To Silence The Press From Asking About Sessions
The head of the House Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes (R-CA), just threatened to launch an investigation into the press over a pointed question over Jeff Sessions’ improper conversations with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the 2016 election.
Speaking to the media this afternoon, Nunes had this to say:
“Look, I’m sure some of YOU have had contact with the Russian embassy so be careful what you ask for he, if we get transcripts of you or other Americans talking to the press, then we can…do you want us to conduct an investigation on YOU because you were talking to the Russian embassy?”

These blatant threats on the free press came shortly after he announced that the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation, which began literally yesterday, has found no evidence.

It is blatantly obvious that Nunes and the rest of his Republican buddies are disregarding their duty to the American people in favor of protecting the Trump administration and their golden opportunity to slash the social safety net and deny millions of people affordable healthcare.
They are all complicit in enabling potentially treasonous acts, and they must pay the price for it.
