Fact-check: Trump Just Told A HUGE Lie About Respecting Women
Today is International Women’s Day, an event to celebrate and commemorate the women’s rights movement. President Donald Trump decided to mark the occasion in his usual style: by tweeting how great he is.
I have tremendous respect for women and the many roles they serve that are vital to the fabric of our society and our economy.

On International Women's Day, join me in honoring the critical role of women here in America & around the world.

Trump seems to have forgotten that he, in fact, doesn’t have any respect for women as can be witnessed in the video below where he brags about sexually assaulting women he finds attractive.
He also happened to Tweet during the nationwide “Day Without A Woman” strike, which involves wearing red and spending money at businesses run by women or minorities. Several school districts across the country are also closing after significant numbers of staff requested the day off for the strike.
The protest is being organized by the same individuals who set up the anti-Trump women’s march in Washington D.C. that occurred the day after Trump’s inauguration.
At this point, there really isn’t much more to say about Trump’s tweeting habits. He either writes heinous lies, unjust accusations, insults or announcements supposedly glorifying himself. It’s unpresidential and it’s embarrassing.
Here is a convenient list of just some of the instances when Trump showed the world just how much respect he has for women:
1991 – Trump spoke to Esquire magazine about the media: “You know, it doesn’t really matter what [they] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.”
1992 – On the topic of gold-medal winning Olympic ice skater Katarina Witt Trump said: “Wonderful looking while on ice but up close and personal, she could only be described as attractive if you like a woman with a bad complexion who is built like a linebacker.”
1994 – In an interview with ABC News Trump commented on his ideas of what a wife’s duties should be: “I have days where, if I come home – and I don’t want to sound too much like a chauvinist, but when I come home and dinner’s not ready, I go through the roof.”
1997 – After buying the beauty pageant Miss USA Trump said he was going to “get the bathing suits to be smaller and the heels to be higher. If you’re looking for a rocket scientist, don’t tune in tonight, but if you’re looking for a really beautiful woman, you should watch.”
1999 – According to New York Daily News Trump said: “I have a deal with her. She’s 17 and doing great – Ivanka. She made me promise, swear to her that I would never date a girl younger than her. So as she grows older, the field is getting very limited.”
2003 – During an interview Trump said about Ivanka, who was 22 at the time: “You know who’s one of the great beauties of the world, according to everybody? And I helped create her. Ivanka. my daughter, Ivanka. She’s 6 feet tall, she’s got the best body. She made a lot of money as a model – a tremendous amount.” Trump’s perceived attraction towards his daughter is quite disturbing.
2007 – In his book Trump 101: The Way To Success Trump wrote: “Beauty and elegance, whether in a woman, a building, or a work of art, is not just superficial or something pretty to see.”
There are plenty more instances of Trump’s blatant sexism here.
