Trump counselor and distraction specialist Kellyanne Conway made headlines this morning with yet another ridiculous set of her famous “alternative facts.”
During an interview with New Jersey’s Bergen County Record, Conway shared some of her top-secret electronic surveillance knowledge, asserting that President Obama was possibly spying on Donald Trump and his campaign through “the microwave.”
“What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other. You can surveil someone through their phones, certainly through their television sets — any number of ways…microwaves that turn into camera. We know this is a fact of modern life.”
While it’s not beyond the realm of possibility, the ridiculousness of the assertion and the way that it plays into conservative paranoia indicates that this is yet another staged “scandal” to occupy media headlines and public attention on a day when the White House must present their “evidence” to Congress to back up President Trump’s outrageous accusations against his predecessor.
We cannot allow ourselves to get too distracted by the lunacy of the Conway show and remember that significant events are playing out behind the scenes.
Nevertheless, the jokes and the sarcasm coming from Twitter on the subject are far too funny to pass up:

I don't believe Obama has a microwave that turns into a camera but I do believe Trump has a micropenis that turns his wife's stomach.

Kellyanne Conway suggested Trump may have been spied on via microwaves that turn into cameras. She has no evidence–just Putin it out there.

President tweeting from ancient Android phone without 2FA turned on is worried his microwave is vulnerable to hackers. Peak boomer really.
