The threats facing our planet have never made much of an impact on Donald Trump. Long before he threatened to dismantle the EPA, private citizen Trump vehemently opposed clean energy, and nothing seemed capable of making President Trump listen to reason — not the pleas of billions of people, not facts, and certainly not scientific consensus.
Until now. Grist reports that, in the middle of the night, five members of a self-described “anonymous environmental activist collective” snuck into Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California and left the President a message that even he could not ignore.
In six-foot letters on the “most picturesque hole” on the most expensive course ever built ($250 million), they carved “NO MORE TIGERS, NO MORE WOODS.”
The group left an additional message to make perfectly clear why their actions were necessary:
“If our King Puppet really wants to ease the strain of immigration, why not make this world more livable for our neighbors, reduce the imperative need for any person to have to bundle their lives into a bag and flee their homes under duress.”
Later, one of the activists anonymously called LA’s ABC-7 and explained the action through a voice disguiser:
“It’s a protest piece against Trump’s administration’s handling of our environmental policies. He’s been very aggressive in gutting a lot of the policies that we’ve had in place for a very long time. We felt it necessary to stand up and go take action against him.”
EcoWatch posted a self-made video of the collective leaving their message. The Sheriff’s Department told ABC-7 that they cannot confirm the details of the video but are aware of it.
With his most picturesque hole now defaced, you can bet that Donald Trump is aware of it too. Let’s see if, this time, he gets the message.
