Just days after announcing that he would cut Meals on Wheels, which feeds 500,000 veterans, Donald Trump scheduled a meeting at Mar-a-Lago to discuss veterans health care, didn’t invite Veterans Administration Secretary David Shulkin, and canceled the meeting.
Trump announced the meeting at a VA listening session at the White House, saying that the “major meeting” Friday night would bring together “some of the people that we put on a board” to address health care issues. He then turned to Shulkin and asked if he’d be there. Dumbfounded, the VA Secretary shakes his head, because, after all, why would he know about this?

Of course, Trump went to Mar-a-Lago anyway without the man in charge of Veterans Affairs for a meeting about Veterans Affairs. He did, however, invite a man who is in charge of a superhero company, Marvel Entertainment CEO Ike Perlmutter, to the meeting.
Finally, a White House spokesperson told The Palm Beach Post that the meeting would not happen tonight. In other breaking news, the sun rose this morning.
But don’t worry, there will be plenty of golf to be played while he’s there, so it won’t be a total loss. He’s probably getting pretty good, too, as it will be his ninth golf outing in 58 days as President.
In case there was any doubt as to how much of a hypocrite Donald Trump is, here is just one of his many tweets on the topic.
Can you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf.Worse than Carter
