40 Congressmen Just Sent A Letter To Trump Demanding An Apology For His Obama Lies
Congressional Democrats have taken matters into their own hands and written a letter demanding Donald Trump apologize for his baseless accusations that former President Obama wiretapped his campaign. The current President’s hysteria, based on right wing fake news and conveyed through Twitter, has made a mockery of the highest office in the country.
Forty congresspeople have signed on to Rep. Mark Pocan’s (D-Wis.) letter so far.

The letter condemns Trump for refusing to apologize for libelous claims against Obama that the FBI has confirmed have no basis in fact.
“During the House Intelligence Committee’s hearing regarding Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election, FBI Director James Comey confirmed that President Trump lied when he inappropriately used his Twitter account to accuse President Obama’s administration of wiretapping Trump Tower. To quote FBI Director Comey, “I have no information to support those tweets, and we have looked carefully inside the FBI…”
Trump’s endless stream of lies call into question whether he really is an idiot with no grasp on reality, or a scheming conman trying to distract the media and the public from what is really going on with his Russian ties. Perhaps most likely it is a bit of both, the perfect storm of incompetence and malice preparing to take down American democracy.
