Biden Was Just Asked To Give Trump Advice. His Answer Is GREAT

Former Vice-President Joe Biden spoke today at Georgetown University to celebrate the opening of the new Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.

A student asked the veteran politician to share some wisdom with our flailing President, whose administration is already dogged by scandal and stunning incompetence in its first two months. “If you could give president Trump one piece of advice, what would it be?”

Biden grew very serious and said what we’ve all been thinking for months:  “Grow up.”

“I would stop tweeting and start focusing. The words of a president matter. They have enormous, enormous, enormous, reverberating sounds around the world. Every time a U.S. president speaks and says something, leaders and people around the world try to dissect what he means because it matters so much to their security, threats they face, whatever it is. So, you can’t loosely make assertions without limiting your ability to lead.”

As if to prove Biden’s point, Trump took the time out of his busy schedule to fire off some instigating tweets against the hardline conservative House Freedom Caucus earlier today.

Biden went on to predict that Trump’s next policy effort, tax reform, would collapse just as badly as the Trumpcare bill did – and Trump’s inability to staff his administration will be to blame, saying that:

“One of the reasons I predict there will be no tax bill is there’s not enough people in the Treasury to handle the calculations and strategy… I was told at least three weeks ago you could walk down the halls of the State Department and holler and no one would hear you, because no one was there.”

It’s clear at this point that Trump has little intention of growing up or actually setting his mind to governing, preferring to play golf and enjoy the trappings of office while the country collapses around him. He would do well to heed Biden’s advice – for the sake of all of us.
