Pamela Anderson Just Opened Up About Her Relationship With Julian Assange

Pamela Anderson has a long history of getting involved in questionable relationships. The former Baywatch (and sex-tape) star has had tempestuous relationships with former husbands Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee and Trump supporter Kid Rock, among others.

Now it appears as if Anderson has taken up with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Assange was the subject of a blog post yesterday by the Canadian-born actress, who has long been linked to social causes, most notably as a fervent member and supporter of PETA.

Rumors that Anderson and Assange have developed a romantic relationship began circulating after the blond actress was seen visiting the Wikileaks head at the Ecuadorian embassy in London multiple times in the last few weeks.

Assange has been confined to the embassy since 2012 when he applied for asylum due to the fear that an investigation by Swedish authorities into allegations of sexual assault could lead to a politically motivated extradition to the U.S. where he could be prosecuted for Wikileaks’ disclosure of confidential intelligence documents.

Most recently Assange has had his reputation sullied by accusations of collaborating with Russia in leaks that helped propel Donald Trump into the White House.

In her blog post, Anderson states that:

“It’s no secret, he is one of my favorite people, and he might be the most famous, most politicized refugee of our time.”

While never actually confirming that she and Assange are romantically involved, the actress described him in glowing terms:

“Julian is a human being who is extremely empathetic and cares deeply about the world. And because of his work, he has made some powerful enemies in a few countries, America especially,
by exposing them.”

“Julian is trying to free the world by educating it. It is a romantic struggle. I love him for this.”

Just last year, a UN panel ruled that Assange’s confinement to the Ecuadorian embassy amounted to ‘arbitrary detention” and that he should be compensated and allowed to leave.

Anderson endorses the UN panel’s finding in her blog post but was evasive when asked if she and Assange were dating. Speaking on a Swedish talk show, she said dating would be “a little bit difficult”, given the Wikileaks founder’s confinement, but did confirm that “she had probably spent more time with Assange than with any other man lately.”

While it seems obvious that the actress has a thing for “bad boys”, it’s a shame that her taste in men extends to someone who is at least partially responsible for ushering Donald Trump into the presidency.
