Trump’s Campaign Manager Just Registered As A Foreign Agent
The Associated Press has just learned that President Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, is trying to retroactively register himself under the Foreign Agents Registration Act in a desperate effort to avoid legal repercussions for lying about being on the payroll of a foreign government.
This morning, the Associated Press revealed that Paul Manafort had indeed received $1.2 million dollars in payment from the Ukranian “Party of Regions” political organization with close links to Moscow.
Those payments were originally documented in a “black ledger” that Manafort has dismissed as lies – but Manafort himself has been outed as the liar. The discovery of that ledger prompted Manafort to resign as Donald Trump’s campaign manager back in August 2016.
Earlier this year, it was discovered that Manafort had been paid ten million dollars by Russian aluminum oligarch Oleg Deripaska to develop and implement a plan “advance the interests of Russian President Vladimir Putin.”
Manafort will be the second member of the Trump campaign team to retroactively register as a foreign agent after their dirty past had been exposed by diligent journalism. Former National Security Director Gen. Michael Flynn was discovered to have been in the pay of the Turkish government while advising the Trump campaign and had received $45,000 from the Russian government to give a “speech.”
Just last night it was revealed that Trump’s former campaign adviser Carter Page was the subject of a FISA wiretap warrant because the intelligence community believed that he was acting as an agent of the Russian Federation.
It seems that the harder President Trump desperately tries to stamp down the fires of controversy that still swirl around his campaign and transition team members for their links to foreign governments, the more dirt is brought to the surface.
There are far too many unanswered questions that need to be answered, and we need to appoint a special prosecutor to get to the bottom of Trump and his team’s potentially treasonous collusion with foreign powers before Trump inflicts any permanent damage to our great nation.
